They honor some signals, yet treatment of paywalls and access limits varies across tools. Valuable work ends up exposed, and creators don’t receive payment in return.

Picture a setup where sites charge AI visitors before they load certain pages. Human readers still browse as usual. No friction, no broken layouts. A pay gate for AI crawlers would create room for open access and fair value at the same time. Digital consumption keeps changing, and this approach gives creators a practical way to protect their work while keeping information available.

Install the PayLayer plugin on the WordPress site, then link it to the PayLayer.org account with the provided API key. This connection ties the site to the payment system that bills AI crawlers.
